I love taking the best of everything and finding a way to fit it together seamlessly. My friends and family know I'm always waiting to hear someone say I don't like (insert food ingredient) just so that I can find a way to prepare it that they'll love. I know I can make any food palatable to anyone. There's always a way to put a shiny new twist on a well-loved classic. I like to re-imagine, re-invent, and re-invigorate traditional food. I clean as I go, so your kitchen will be tidy as a pin before I leave. I often talk to myself while I cook, and I'm happy to explain to you what I'm doing and why it is done that way. Raised by a chef dad, and cooking for the family since I was six, it was no surprise when I finished high school that I went directly to the College of the North Atlantic for Culinary Arts. That was over twenty years ago and I've never looked back. I spent part of my career teaching local children how to prepare simple, healthy meals, as clean nutrition is important to the health of our youth. Through working for others and running my own restaurants, I've always brought a deep passion for food and my own sense of creativity wherever I've worked. I'd be happy to help you plan and prepare meals for the week, teach you, your kids, your friends how to make a fun and tasty dish, or cater a dinner party from 2 to 100 people.
I had Chef Jason come by to prepare a flavourful, nutritious, low-calorie and low-carb meal. He consulted with me to make sure he knew exactly what I was looking for and hand-crafted some of the most amazing food I've ever eaten. I didn't know eating healthy could be so quick! He brought all the groceries, let me watch and patiently answered my questions while he prepared the food, and tidied up my kitchen beautifully when he was done. Forget dining out, from now on, I'm inviting the chef in!
