Cooking style
My style is comfortable and unique. People ask me what my specialty, and I always answer with, anything and any ingredient I haven't worked with yet. I love to challenge myself and make delicious food experiences that will be unique to my clients. I provide cooking classes including sushi. I can pair wine and spirits. I do date nights, private parties, and in home meal prep.
Experience
Chef Cidney received her associate degree in culinary arts in 2009 from the Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte, North Carolina. She then completed her internship at The Cypress Club of Charlotte, a high-end retirement community where, in less than 11 months, she worked her way up to Lead Line Cook. She soon moved back to Texas where she continued to develop new skills. She worked in a sushi restaurant, and her creativity and natural skill soon prompted the patrons to rename her “The Black Dragon.” Once other skills were mastered, Cidney then packed up her samurai sword, filled her car to the brim and set her sights on Atlanta to see what this “city in the trees” had to offer. It was there that she stumbled upon Vino Venue in Dunwoody, GA. As she made her way up the ladder within a year and a half she was head chef. While working at Vino venue, Cidney, got an amazing opportunity to compete on Food Network’s Guy’s Grocery Games, on an episode named Throwdown in Flavortown. Chef Cidney creates wonderful things from the kitchen as well as overseeing a multitude of ever-changing events. She brings a creative light to the food & wine community through her global style cuisine with a hint of southern hospitality and Spanish flare.
