I have Midwestern roots so I love to cook healthier versions of comforting classics. Some things I make often are Mexican and Indian inspired dishes. Lots of nutrition, but also lots of flavor! I am well versed in allergies and dietary preferences.
Hi! I'm Melissa. I am a plant-based personal chef in Los Angeles, CA. Originally from WI, I have a degree in clinical lab sciences from UW-Milwaukee. I received my plant-based chef certification from Rouxbe online culinary school, and a certificate in plant-based nutrition through T. Colin Campbell and eCornell.
I love cooking for people and the kitchen is definitely my happy place! I host events, demos, and workshops, as well as in-person and virtual cooking classes. My goal is to show people how easy and fun it can be to eat healthier and give them the tools they need to live their best, healthiest lives.
