Taste The Flavor, Feel The Soul!
Personal Chef # 83310
Cooking style
My cooking is rustic, instinct‑driven, and rooted in feel rather than formulas. I cook the way I was taught growing up — by heart, by memory, and by the guidance of the people who came before me. I trust my senses more than timers: the sound of a good sear, the smell of aromatics blooming, the way a sauce thickens, the color of perfectly cooked meat.
When I approach a dish I’ve never made before, I study a handful of recipes to understand the structure, then create my own version using the elements that resonate with me. I’m not a “follow it to the letter” cook — I build flavor through intuition, tasting, adjusting, and layering until it feels right.
I’m a clean, organized cook who works with intention. I’m not the fastest person on the line, because I prioritize quality, balance, and flavor accuracy over speed. I care about the perfect bite — the look, the smell, the texture, the soul of the dish — more than racing the clock. That makes me a strong fit for private dining, intimate dinners, and experiences where craftsmanship matters.
My food leans toward big, bold, comforting flavors with Southern, Latin, and Italian influences, grounded in French technique and rustic American roots. I love cast‑iron cooking, scratch‑made dishes, and meals that feel warm, satisfying, and memorable. Everything I make is meant to be tasted, felt, and experienced — not just eaten.
Experience
I’m a resourceful, flavor‑driven cook with nearly 20 years of hands‑on experience across high‑volume kitchens, fine dining, food halls, and catering/banquet environments. I’ve mastered multiple stations, adapt easily to any kitchen setup, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
My culinary foundation comes from a blend of family traditions, self‑taught exploration, and over 13 years of informal mentorship under a CIA‑educated chef.
During my mentorship and throughout my career, I’ve developed recipes, built menus, executed private dinners, weddings, and large‑scale events, trained new cooks, supported FOH/BOH operations, upheld high standards of food safety and organization, and contributed to menu specials, recipe refinement, and presentation standards. Whether I’m cooking for a family of four or a full banquet, I bring the same commitment to quality, creativity, and hospitality.
My cooking pace is intentional: I prioritize quality, consistency, and flavor accuracy over speed. I’m not the fastest cook in the room, and I’m upfront about that — because I care more about perfect taste, texture, aroma, and presentation than racing the clock. This approach makes me a strong fit for private dining, small events, and environments where craftsmanship matters more than volume.
I operate as a two‑person team for all bookings. My Culinary Assistant brings over fifteen years of kitchen experience and excels in structured, task‑driven roles. He supports with cooking, prep, service, and cleanup, allowing me to stay fully focused on execution, timing, and flow. For larger events, I also have additional team members available when expanded support is needed, ensuring I can scale without compromising quality or pace.
