A native of the Nation’s Capital, Chef Brenden honed his knives on Ottawa’s Street Food scene. With classical French training from mentor Chef Sandra MacInnis, he fuses contemporary Canadian flavours with French and South American influences.
Today Brenden is the Chef de Partie and Catering/Banquet Lead for Gourmet Cuisine Ottawa at the National Gallery of Canada. Previously he was the Head Chef at Le Bac Plus at the University of Ottawa. With over 45,000 students on campus, the scratch food truck produces an elevated and authentic approach to Tacos with a South American-Canadian flare.
When not at the Gallery, Brenden owns and operates Chef Brenden Catering, a full service catering company specializing in the Chef at Home dining experience. In business for over 4 years, Chef Brenden has cooked for over 2,000 guests across the City of Ottawa and Gatineau.
Brenden has had the opportunity to cook for many renowned personalities from Ottawa Senators Captain Erik Karlsson, to nearly a dozen Ambassadors in a private State Dinner, to Ottawa’s political elite and more.
