A menu created for a Medieval Times themed Party. A three course traditional medieval dinner, the likes of which may well have been eaten by King Richard the Lionheart, King of England in the late 1190's during the Middle Ages.
A refreshing Strawberry, Blueberry, and Blackberry Margarita, garnished with lime slices and basil. Served chilled over ice.
A traditional medieval pottage made with cabbage, leeks, onions,, carrots, mint, rosemary, coriander and a vegetable broth, served as an appetizer soup.
Broiled, spit roasted venison flank, basted with red wine, ground ginger, garlic, coriander and parsley. Served with roasted, whole new potatoes, and an old English spiced, white bread.
Fresh pears, poached in orange juice, glazed with a cinnamon gastrique, drizzled with a homemade caramel sauce, and topped with fresh whipped cream and chopped macadamia nuts.
