I would call it an extension of New American, also known as Modern American. It's New American with a much bigger tipoff to exotic worldly flavors. I describe it as New World Fusion
I like to take my clients on a regional World tour of culinary range, and exhibit how very familiar flavors and spice profiles can be combined in very unfamiliar and unconventional ways. I really provide a symphony of flavors in my dining experience, that's how many clients describe it to me.
